Savybalboa - C.H.M.B. (Official Music Video)
What’s good with y’all folks? When it comes to the topic of work, Savybalboa really embodies the word itself. Not too far removed from his last EP and set of visuals, comes the newest visual for “CHMB.” Not to mention, this comes one week before a new Savybalboa EP arrives 5/21/21. This record continues to tell the story of Savy’s grassroots grind, there are not too many upcoming artists that network and maintain connections like Savy does in his city.
For this set of visuals, Savy and the direction team take the cinematic route. In cut scenes, the inspiration from the movie “Set It Off” are depicted. Starting off with a heist scene, bringing the money back, and then shortly after Savy describes the cultural footprint he wants to leave across his hometown. Perhaps even the world when the time is right. For now, until it’s time to play, it’s all about stacking up and investing in the future. The song itself is a natural motivator, regardless of what your area of expertise is you should be able to draw parallels from Savy’s mission to yours.
“You can find me bungee jumping in a bag. I be making plays like I’m John Madden. Hating everyday like that shit practice.”
Verse two gets heavy with the boss talk and accompanies the narrative that the video portrays visually as well as musically. The direction and production of the video were by Dream Pilot Films. Overall, a very creative way to breathe new life into an already solid song. The video is definitely worth replaying a few times if you tryna catch a vibe in any setting. Go listen to the song on YouTube or any streaming platform and stay tuned for more music coming soon from Savybalboa and the FNM x NFL camp.
What more can I say? Let the music, the visuals, your eyes and ears do the rest for you. It’ll be a good time. Don’t believe me, just watch.

Smoke Loud - Still ME (Official Music Video)
What’s good y’all? If there’s one thing I appreciate in music, it’s authenticity. On tonight’s forecast, we are nothing short of just that. Back with anthem for being yourself like no one else can, is Smoke Loud with his latest visual for “Still ME.” This record is incredibly contagious, immediately Smoke Loud’s vocals are very captivating and the flows that follow keep you interested. This one would classify as a textbook slapper. The fire beat with a clutch vocal sample allows Smoke Loud to do his thing. Although you may be able to detect Bay Area influence, Smoke does an excellent job of providing his own flavor.
The visuals mainly features shots of Smoke Loud in his natural habitat, smoking with the bros, dropping rhymes, and clearing his head with a quick game of hoops. After the hook kicks down the door for the beat, Smoke smacks you over the head with some heavy verses. Smoke quickly lets you know how he and his are built. If you can’t get with it then you can get lost. This might not be the right way to live but he unapologetically spells it out to the listeners. Take it or leave it, not everyone is built for the lifestyle that Smoke Loud is trying to make for himself.
Smoke Loud isn’t tripping on who is rocking with him or not. It’s the quality over quantity vibes for me. The most notable highlights of this record, in my humble opinion, are the endless amount of quotable lines that are provided. The style Smoke displays over this banger really executes the message he is trying to convey. The demeanor that Smoke has in this video really has me feeling that this rap shit was made for dudes like him. This record is the most recent song to get the silver screen treatment from last month’s EP “Beast in the Booth.” A three track EP with all slapper vibes from the one and only Smoke Loud.
As someone who never really cared about what other’s thought, this record speaks volumes to me. Whenever I feel self doubt or even the slightest concern about what people think, lyrics from this song play in my mind. In a way, this song could be used as an effective affirmation for you to pop your shit. No one else got the sauce like you, so whatever you are doing, just know that nobody can do that shit the way you do! If that is not enough to get your ass motivated, then play this song on repeat until you get the message. Go follow Smoke Loud and listen to the 3 track EP that features “Still ME.” Spotify player with the snippets down below. Enjoy the vibes.

Danny Prophetz - Nothing New Featuring Platinumb & Juice
What’s good everyone? Life has been keeping the Weather Watcher busy this week. That does not mean the radar has not been running since the 5 day absence. Finding the best upcoming artists is nothing new around here! Much like the latest single from Danny Prophetz and the Good Mischief Team. This joint belongs to the upcoming mixtape, that will be exclusively on the Good Mischief YouTube channel. For this banger, Prophetz commissions Platinumb & Juice to assist with the summer fitting vibes.
“Riddle me that, I ain’t finna do that. I can die and come back. I still ain’t chasing the cat, on momma’s. Can’t pause. That’s ironic cause I might for the commas. Oooooh, I can pull and I bet she gon’ choose. Oooooh, My whole crew, yeah they get to the blues.”
The gentle keys over the roomy beat allows Danny and company to really fill the instrumental with a multitude of cadence that changes the sound of the beat with their vocal presence. This one checks off all the mandatory points for a solid record. Nothing New gives me the hunch that it will not be leaving my head anytime soon. Refreshingly, Platinumb and Juice offer a distinct contrast against Danny’s vocals. This gives the record a variety in the sonic texture of the song. Much of what is said in this song is very believable and paints a visual in the mind of the listener. In other words, there is no cap in their rap!
It is apparent that Danny and the Good Mischief camp have been locking in. Focusing on dialing the more technical aspects of their pens. Although this record is fun and full of confidence inducing lyrics, it feels very calculated and well thought out. Either that or Prophetz has mastered the way he formulates his records in a natural way. After hearing this record, I am looking forward to the rest of the project that is on the way. For now, play this for all your friends and anytime you sliding through your city. I promise you, making slaps for Good Mischief is nothing new. So catch up before you miss this wave. Nothing New will be in the weather watcher rotation for a minute. Listen to the record and let us know your thoughts on our IG @theweatherwatcher. Cast Away$ - Take My Time Featuring Stu J The Vamp (Visualizer)
The work does not stop with the Cast Away$. This time around they linked up with the one and only, Stu J the Vamp. The collective also tapped in with Bozzy for the production on this catchy banger that can turn any long car ride in to a god damn vibe. This record takes a slightly different route from the Cast Away$, this record is more emotionally driven and melodic than the cuts on their last EP. This record encapsulates the sentiments felt when someone makes an everlasting impact in your life all while being temporary present.
“There’s people outside, people like you, people who float around. Making it harder to find yourself walking up through the crowd.”
There’s a certain phenomenon when it comes to people who feed your soul with such rich nourishment. You may feel that they can provide everything you need when they dangle their affection in your face. So much so that when it’s yanked from out in front of your face, you stick around in hopes you can get that same taste again. However, people who possess this intangible mystique can not simply be tethered to the attention of just one. No one can say how or why these types of people always have the upper hand in the game of love. The emotions we feel can drive us crazy and may never lead to actual closure. Good thing Stu J expresses the feelings in a way listener’s can sing along to and let the hurt out. The hook and verses provide some sort of solace if you ever felt the way these artists are describing.
So if you are currently strategizing or recuperating from the many battles in the war of love then you should play this. Share this with someone who can benefit and find some sort of self love through inspiration. The vulnerability is organic and is indicative of real life experience from the artists involved. Also, Bozzy set the collective up for success by making a smooth beat that could only facilitate a mood like this. All in all, excellent execution for all parties involved. The replay value in this one is definitely up there. The visualizer video above was edited by Ego Friendly Production. Give it a listen and let us know your thoughts.

OG David James - Rigamortis Remix #OGFridayz (video)
What’s good everybody? Today’s forecast is taking a double back to yesterday’s (5/7/2021) Friday releases.
This week we saw, Oxnard born/Reno raised artist, OG David James drop his seventh installment of his popular #OGFridayz series. For episode 7, OG David James presents his take on what it would sound like if he was on, the ‘Section.80’ record, “Rigamortis” by Kendrick Lamar. In typical OG David James fashion, he switches from the hypnotizing melodies and brings back the textbook, technical lyricism that his listener’s gravitate towards. Off the jump, David starts the record much like the original then quickly begins to flip the lyrics. The verbal agility is a big factor in this remix’s appeal. As a die hard Kendrick fan, it is a bit hard to hear other artists on a record Kendrick knowingly bodied. The refreshing part about David’s rendition is that he is able to keep up with the quick paced Sounwave & Willie B production.
“But she ain’t being subordinate, I ain’t even recorded yet. Baby looking so bored and shit. Way we son-ing these rappers, I probably should start orphanage. Overall I’m attacking the acronym, sounding accurate. Boy this shit is immaculate. AK got an attachment and I ain’t wearing no mask and I’m reading you like a pamphlet.”
Do not let the new age vibes fool you, this remix reminds any newer listeners of OG David James that he is a product of a time where lyrics really mattered. It’s evident that David studied many of the greats as a music fan and was able to bring a niche sound that many cannot recreate. Every line contains multisyllabic rhymes and they transition very well between different rhyme schemes. Don’t let me hit you with all the spoilers though. Go give this one a view for yourself and let the bars speak to you. This one was filmed and edited by Angelo DePrater (IG: @AngeloDePrater). If you enjoyed the video, let us know on our socials and go follow OG David James!
