Danny Prophetz - Overthinking Featuring Cr38 (Official Audio)
“If I lose this job today, just know I’ll be fine. Yeah, I’ll be straight. If I lose my life today, just know I’ll be fine. Yeah, I’ll fly away.”
The mind is of boundless effort and is always running. So you better check it, too much thinking can be just as detrimental as being thoughtless. Sometimes trying to do good for you and yours can be the feather that breaks the dam. Don’t get me wrong, there’s beauty in everything. Being grateful is not only in attitude but in also in action. However, we all reach a cap and we lose our lid a little bit just to let out the incessant agitation from external stimuli. Sometimes when we reach that lull, we have nothing but time to reflect. There’s ups and downs, in turn, not every moment is meant for the highlight reel.
The mind is powerful, not every thought belongs to you. We are conditioned to contribute to a system that is non-discriminant to its harsh demands. It’s easy to forget what you were here to do. Even putting your best foot forward in this world does not guarantee that it will be reciprocated in the foreseeable future. The things beyond your control are to be embraced. The key to having a strong mental is to always remember to reel it back in, no matter how heavy it pulls you down inside. Its our own internal signal that we need help or a nudge to take a step back and think about you hold important.
“Feel like you can’t change it, guess you lost the remote. You need some game, get you a coach, you got lost on your own. See you alone can find a truth that your soul is yearning for. If you want but if you don’t, then you won’t, that’s how it go.”
Danny kicks off the first verse with pure honesty and lets out some steam but quickly knows how to bring it back. Get back in the game, no huddle. Its all about perspective, its inside and out. Energy is important, pay attention to the nuance of life’s parasitic ways. Its what you consume, keep around, believe in, project, and practice. Its easy to get taken off that train of thought when you got to focus on surviving. Regardless of what life throws at you, the byproduct of your existence holds a tangible weight in this realm of life. The way you release it and represent your spirit means more than you think.
Hold your composure and the universe got you covered, in due time, then you’ll be straight. Cr38 comes in with a soothing tone and shares his pitfalls with getting lost in his head. Every one is susceptible to getting lost every now and again. It may seem pointless and the examples of why things aren’t divine have been collected in abundance. An ounce of blessing is worth a pound of patience. Energy is neither created nor destroyed, right? Think about yourself, you are no different. Wield it with caution and do what thou wilt.
This song is honest and real. I quickly resonated with it and I think you would too. Give it a listen and share your thoughts on our social networks at the bottom of the page. OG David James - No More Parties Remix #OGFridayz (video)
It’s not Good Friday, but it’s a great Friday when it’s #OGFridayz. This week we receive episode 8 from the Reno raised, Oxnard born artist OG David James. This time he chooses a modern classic to hop on by way of Coi Leray’s “No More Parties.” This one is probably a new favorite from the series so far. Aside from having the most satisfying of melodies, the message being conveyed is all real talk. Although the rap lifestyle comes with its fair share of questionable environments, David makes sure that the head space remains clear for blessings and nourishing energy.
“Drawing all the blue prints, closing all the loose ends. That was not directed, I’m like fuck it, if the shoe fits. Wear it, I ain’t focused on appearance. I ain’t focused on no shit that don’t contribute to my spirit.”
When growth and change become frequent in your life, the people around you change how they see you. Perception can be jaded when people get the wrong ideas about your trajectory. Not being able to understand the obstacles and steps required to meet your goals is the biggest disconnect from those who aren’t pursuing the same dream. David is aware of the change in the energy that he draws. With this life, putting out good energy may attract something of the opposite in addition to reciprocated energy. The sentiment is fitting for the name of the beat “No More Parties.”
Although the record comes in at a minute and forty five seconds, the verse contains a lot of philosophy and perspective from the young OG. David cleverly sprinkles real life feelings from his journey and turns it into a vibe perfect for any kickback with all your day ones. I find myself wishing that OG David James had a verse on the original song. He really took the beat and made it his own, a skill that makes the OG Fridayz series particularly intriguing. Give this one a spin and see if you are rocking with the OG mix of the record. I’m going to keep spinning this visual by Angelo DePrater on repeat and keep the vibes right.
Also, if haven’t already, go subscribe to the OG David James YouTube channel and watch all the episodes currently available after this one.

Money & McFly - Another Note (Official Music Video)
Yoooo, thanks for tuning into the WW radar for a Friday forecast. Today we have new music from a long time favorite, the 518’s Eli McFly. This time around he links up with the RIAA certified platinum producer, who is also rap artist, Money Montage. Their latest release under that name Money & Montage is titled “Another Note.” A straight fly guy anthem. With an icy visual filmed on location, down in Miami. It’s some better living vibes going on. Them boys on the east keeping it real player.
The beat comes from Money Montage & company (Stones Neighbor & Ayo B), with the genius level production. A well executed beat with a nuanced, trance inducing bounce with the unorthodox instruments over the heavy bass line. Money Montage starts off talking that bag talk and not letting anyone who hasn’t put in the work breathe around him. Showing off a multi faceted aspect of his creative talent, he’s not just a producer, he knows how to put together real songs. Better than some rappers can, respect and credit is given where its due. Montage delivers a verse full of quotables with that nonchalant, slick flow. Translating all the way over to the hook, he don’t play round! This was my first introduction to Money Montage as an MC. Looking forward to see what other type of greatness is coming next from the young king himself.
“I see greatness everyday but that’s cause I’m in the mirror. Jumping over obstacles, I can’t let them interfere. Her head so good, I’m off the road, I couldn’t steer. Yeah, you seen the fit but it was something you couldn’t wear.”
The second verse hops in Eli McFly, grabbing the torch from Montage and running off with it. Doing the beat just dirty, getting real drippy with his verse. The duo really locked in and compliment each other’s sound, making for a well balanced dynamic. McFly in true form, elevates the foundation from which he is rooted with the sound. Signature sound from him in a refreshing way every time he hops on the mic. Be warned, don’t leave your girl or an open instrumental around McFly. He might just come fuck your day up without really trying.

Infamous Black - 10 On It Featuring Carlitos
How y’all doing on this fine Friday morning? WW back with a couple tunes that you might not be up on. This time the radar picked up some activity from 707 & 775 based artists Infamous Black and Carlitos. The two linked up for the record with Cody C Music Studios on the boards. The short film was filmed and directed by Filthy Visuals. The track along with visuals are titled “10 on it” and tells a creative Clear Acre Ln story, on a grimy night off N. McCarran. Don’t be looking like a lick on the wrong time of day up north.
The videos depicts Infamous Black and Carlitos plotting to hit an unsuspecting liquor for that bag. When it’s an inside job, how can you not be intrigued? Black starts off the record with a fast paced, electrifying hook that reminds me of the 2012 golden era Wiz flow but the verses are unique to Infamous’s sound. Despite having a nostalgic sound, its something that the scene he belongs to does not have with out his contribution. You can tell Infamous has been working at his craft. The lyrics come off clear and effortless. The bars are not minimalistic but delivered in a way that makes them easy to process.
“Should get this shit tatted cause we going up! Don’t get us combative when we blowing up.”
The second verse comes in with flawless flows as Carlitos serves up a saucy 16. All bars, the 2 blocc spitter moonwalks over the beat and provides us with a slimy story, Sutro style. The verse contributes a new energy to the record and gives it a new dimension to the narrative being developed in the video as well. I found myself rewatching this video a few times. Even spent a good portion of my night smoking to it and really bonding with the record itself. Infamous, in conjunction with Carlitos, along with Cody C and Filthy Visuals were a great team: successfully bringing out a new perspective to the diverse city of Reno, NV. Currently the video is a YouTube exclusive so go to the link above and subscribe to the channel for more Infamous Black music.

ZP Ratik - NEXT (Official Music Video)
Good evening y’all, it’s late and I have to be ready for the work week in a couple hours. Good thing this tree finally wearing me down. Alas, last post for the weekend goes to ZP Ratik for his latest visual to his song “NEXT.” If there’s anything that I can count on ZP for, is to be able to motivate me and keep my head held high. There’s no loss in showing up and attempting whatever it is you do. By acting, you are outdoing half of the people who have the same goal as you. A sentiment that subconsciously has been culminating in my mind every time this record gets played.
The video is true to this way of thinking as ZP takes his resources and makes the most out of it. The lighting, drone shots, and museum quality lens take this DIY video to a whole new aesthetic. The type of production that should serve as motivation for any independent artist trying to find a way. If that means invest in all the necessary video equipment for your craft, then maybe that’s what it takes to get visuals anytime you need them. Aside from the setting, the song itself is an audio affirmation. Don’t believe him, just watch, as he continues to climb towards the best version of himself.
There’s no better door to enter than the one you propped open yourself. You could keep waiting until someone opens that coincidental door that you swear is the only way in. If you got any common sense, you will keep trying every handle until you find the door you are meant to open when the timing is right for you. When I have a long week and start feel the ebbs and flows of societal norms weighing on me heavy; I turn on some ZP Ratik to remind me to wake my shit up. Get to it or get the fuck on. “I’m not gonna hold my breath, get it on my own, BIG step.” Tell yourself that if you really trying to be NEXT. Watch this video for high energy and a dose of “get it out the mud” for your Monday morning or any time you need a reminder of who the fuck you are.
